Ten Ridiculous Laws In The U.S. I am sure that all of us at some point in our lives have come across a law that makes us stop and wonder how it ever got passed or how it was ever even considered. it really is hard to believe that some of these laws are real, and look closely and you can find them all over the place. Here are ten of the funniest and most ridiculous laws I have found. 1. In Mobile Alabama, no one is allowed to use a ‘funk ball’ within the city limits. What on earth is a “funk ball?” and what kind of destruction has it wrought in order for it to get its own law banning its use within the city. 2. In California, it is against the law to shoot at any type of animal from a moving vehicle unless the target is a whale. How many people are actually riding around in cars or boats shooting at wild life? It really makes you wonder. 3. In Alaska, it is illegal to push a moose out of a moving airplane. Wait what? Just how did this law come along? I mean I completely agree with this law, but should it be common knowledge that you should push any animal out of a moving plane? 4. In Texas, it is illegal to shoot at buffalo from a second story window. Well I guess this means we have to take it up to the third or fourth floor. You really have to wonder about the specifics on this law. Why can’t they just ban the firing of a weapon from any level of a building? 5. In Florida, if an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking meter’s time must be paid for. It’s good to know that people will have to start paying for all the parking spots their elephants take up. 6. In Hawaii, it is illegal for any resident to not own their own boat. Wow. That’s a tough law. I wonder if a boat is like a social status there. 7. In New York, it is illegal for a donkey to sleep in a bath tub. Where else would you let your donkey sleep? 8. In New York, it is illegal to cross a street diagonally, but it is okay to jaywalk. You have to wonder if this is a test. Only cross the street if you know you can make it across without having to go diagonally to dodge the stream of cars coming from either direction. 9. In California, a fine will be issued to any caught molesting butterflies. Because remember friends, butterflies have rights too! 10. In Chico California, it is punishable with a fine to detonate a nuclear device within the city limits. Okay. Now I don’t know if this one is completely real or not, but I really hope it isn’t. A $500 fine for detonating the most powerful weapon known to man? Really? If this is for real, it absolutely has to be the most ridiculous law ever passed.
