In addition, about 97% of the companies have their written policy on sexual harassment. There are about 15,000 sexual harassment cases which are brought to the EEOC annually though there are various programs that were enacted to stop sexual harassment from taking place. Victims of Sexual Harassment Both men and women can become the victim in a sexual harassment although majority of the cases filed pertaining to the mentioned act, are filed by women. Though women are the ones who are usually sexually harassed, the numbers of cases being filed by men are also increasing. Here are some results of a telephone poll conducted on a certain number of workers in the United States: around 31% of the female respondents reported that they were sexually harassed in their workplace all of the women who were harassed reported that the one who harassed them is a man around 7% of male respondent were harassed in their workplace around 62% of the respondents did not take any action when they were harassed around 59% of the men who were harassed said that their harasser was a woman around 41% of the men who were harassed said that their harasses was a man Take the Legal Action It has been estimated that though there are about 15,000 cases of sexual harassment that are being reported annually, it is only a portion of the actual sexual harassment incidents that occurred.
