Anger is the most common emotion. It is also the strongest emotion in human beings. Feeling angry is quite normal but if you do not know how to deal with it anger could kill you. Buy why does one get angry? It's obvious that certain situations upset most of us and if they get out of hand we get angry. Anger is actually a similar emotion to happiness or sadness. It's healthy to feel angry. Anger will not go away, so do not ignore it. If you "collect anger" it can become dangerous, so be angry at times. However, always be tactful when dealing with anger. There are ways to deal with anger and manage it in a proper way. Be aware that you feel angry - Accept the fact that you are angry and know it's normal. There are plenty of situations that makes most of us feel angry, now that the society is so stressful. You are a normal and emotional human being so don't be ashamed or feel guilt about being angry. Calm Down - After noticing you are angry, try to calm down. Go outside, take a walk and relax. Maybe even talk to someone about the situation. You can for example take a bath or listen to music, take deep breaths or do wahtever to calm down your nerves. Many people like to engage in hobbies such as painting, drawing, singing, meditation and more. There are tons of things you can do to calm your nerves. Then make it a habit to calm down, relax and feel great! Communicate - When calm and able to open your feelings, sit down with the person you got angry with and discuss what happened. Be positive about your feelings and never point fingers at them. Be specific about why you got angry with them. Let the other person speak as well, and let them speak their mind. Then move on with your lives and walk away understanding more about yourself and the person you were angry with. You would be smart to manage your anger in future with these tips 1: Recognize your triggers and limits - When you are familiar with these, you could prepare yourself to face them and deal with them effectively in a better way than letting anger get at you. 2: Identify substances that can increase anger - Some substances contribute to negative emotions such as anger, depression, etc. Some of these substances are caffeine, drugs, alcohol, narcotics, etc. Do not consume the above to deal with your negative feelings. 3: Practice meditation on a daily basis - You would learn to be calm regardless of being angry or not. You would become a calm person by nature if you practice calming techniques everyday. When situations arise, you would be able to deal with them more effectively than getting annoyed or angered. A couple closing words... If you are focusing on the issues and problems, there are always solutions, but if you focus on a person or a personality, the issues you have with the tend to stay forever. If you deal with more emotional maturiry you could manage your anger more effectively and thus, your approach will be much better.
